This is always a question band members have trouble. Is this a business or just some guys having fun?
Make no mistake this is a business and it needs to be treated like one. At the end of the year all the places you have played will be sending you what’s called a 1099 form reporting all the money they paid you to the government. You will have to pay taxes on this money.
You will be expected to show up on time and follow a schedule just like a real job.
You will have load in times, Sound check times, Break times, and all venues have rules for just about everything. Welcome to the music business.
Live footage from the Voodoo Cowboys at the Las Vegas Country Saloon on Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas Nevada as Bass Player, Scott Woodward of the Voodoo Cowboys sings, "Down Home Blues" with special guest Dean Rossi of Chaser. Great live rockin country music, bull riding, and pole dancing. Join us Friday Nights.

One of the most important guy’s at your show is the soundman. He can literally make or break the show for you. This is a guy you want to make friends with at all cost. Be cooperative and be respectful. He’s there to help you, consider him as a member of the band and help him help you.
Try and keep your stage volume down. Try to speak to him one at a time. Nothing is worse than when the whole band is asking him to change something at the same time.
Also remember he can’t perform miracles, If you stink he can’t fix it
Phil G of the Voodoo Cowboys and Dean with Chaser invite you to join them at the Las Vegas Country Saloon. Thursdays is Rock the Pole with pole dance classes and Chaser's rock & roll tunes.
